Wondering why your relationship is fraught with stress and anxiety? Or are you enjoying the bliss of a peaceful partnership? In episode 13, the gals discuss the book that is blowing Krista’s mind, and giving them their next opportunity to explore themselves in partnership.
In the book, “Attached,” Amir Levine and Rachel Heller share the three types of people in relationship: Secure, Anxious, and Avoidant. Listen as the girls discuss how their relationship tendencies of ebb, flow, push and pull are creating harmony, chaos and everything in between.
They may also create a little sexual tension… but at what cost?
Katherine and Krista get to wondering, can your “type” mature? Mr. Delicious is showing signs of possible avoidant tendencies … (although to be fair, it’s a more mature, more secure version of avoidant) and Katherine is on the anxious spectrum (albeit maturing and more secure). Even though the book warns us not to pursue this unhealthy combo healthy, Katherine and Mr. Delicious are bringing their more healed versions of themselves to the party and proving that the tools of spiritual growth really do work.
As for Krista, she is discovering how her Anxious aspect has been challenged in the world of Avoidant personalities not only in dating but with her children, family and marriages.
Both gals recognize that less healed versions of themselves spark matches from hell while their more mature versions create matches made in heaven.
Which type are you? Listen and find out!💋
